What this is

Peak Healthcare Learning is a free educational resource about the business of American healthcare. It issues no credential, no certificate and no continuing education credit. Using it creates no professional relationship of any kind.

This is not advice

Nothing here is legal, valuation, coding, tax, compliance or financial advice, and it must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Healthcare regulation changes constantly and varies by state. Modules carry the date they were last verified precisely because a module that was accurate on that date may not be accurate today.

Figures, organizations and scenarios described as synthetic are invented for teaching. They describe no real person or organization and should not be treated as benchmarks.

The material is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Every reasonable effort is made to cite governing sources and to correct errors promptly, but accuracy, completeness and currency are not guaranteed. Where a module and its cited source disagree, the source governs.

To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this material.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Accounts may be suspended or removed for breach of these terms.

Comments and other contributions

Comments are reviewed before they appear. By posting, you confirm the contribution is yours to share and grant permission to display, store and edit it for length or clarity on this site. You keep ownership of what you write.

Do not post:

• Confidential, proprietary or privileged material, including anything covered by an agreement with an employer or client.
• Any patient information or anything that could identify a patient.
• Advertising, spam, abuse, harassment, or content that infringes someone else's rights.

Comments may be declined or removed at our discretion, and repeated breaches may result in commenting being suspended. Contributions represent their authors, not this site.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent access controls, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or use it to build a competing product from bulk-extracted content. Reading, learning from and quoting the material with attribution is welcome.

Intellectual property

The curriculum text, structure and design are the work of Jackson White unless stated otherwise. Statutes, regulations and government datasets cited here are public sources and belong to their issuers. The license under which this material may be reused is still being settled and will be published here once it is.

This is a free resource under active development. Content, features and availability may change or end without notice. When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
