Privacy.

The short version

You can read everything on this site without an account and without being tracked. There is no advertising, no advertising network, no data broker, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing. An account exists only so your progress and your written answers follow you between devices.

Reading without an account

If you never sign in, no personal information is stored about you on our servers. Your progress through modules, your quiz results and any written answers are kept in your own browser using local storage. They never leave your device, we cannot see them, and clearing your browser storage erases them permanently.

If you create an account

Signing in means the following is stored:

• Your email address and display name, held by our authentication provider.
• Which modules you have completed, your best score and number of attempts on each quiz, and the record of individual attempts.
• Written answers you save, exactly as you typed them.
• Spaced-review scheduling data — when each question is next due, and how well you have recalled it.
• Comments you post, including ones never approved.
• Your review settings, such as new cards per day.

This data exists to provide the features you signed up for. It is not profiled, analyzed for marketing, or shared.

Who processes your data

• Clerk handles sign-in and stores your account identity. Clerk sets cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the database holding your progress, answers and comments.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify or follow individuals.
• YouTube serves video lectures where a module has one. Videos are embedded through the no-cookie domain, but pressing play contacts Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Fonts are served from this site rather than a font provider, and search runs entirely in your browser, so neither results in a request to a third party.

Cookies and local storage

• Strictly necessary: session cookies set by Clerk when you sign in. Without them you cannot stay signed in.
• Functional: local storage holding your progress and written answers. This never leaves your device unless you sign in.
• None for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your choices

You can read anonymously, delete your saved answers individually, clear your browser storage at any time, or delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your progress, written answers, review scheduling and comments from our database.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, or object to its processing. To make any such request, or to ask a question about this policy, use the contact route on the About page.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Comments that were declined or marked as spam are retained in a non-public form so that moderation decisions can be reviewed, and are removed when the account is deleted.

Children

This site is intended for adults working in or entering healthcare administration. It is not directed at children, and accounts should not be created by anyone under 16.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site rather than made quietly.
